There is very less information available about Merchant Navy inspiring to get into merchant navy. The Merchant Navy is a non-combatant commercial fleet, which deals with transporting cargo and occasionally, passengers, by sea. Its fleet is therefore composed of passenger vessels, cargo liners, tankers, carriers, as well as other special types of vehicles. A career in this field is full of adventure and long voyages to exotic places. Above all this, the excellent pay and promising promotional opportunities make the career lucrative and exciting in spite of all the hard work life and long absence from family and home.
What is the big attraction of the merchant navy? Two things come to mind – money and foreign travel. There are other benefits like tax free income, quick promotions and an exciting life. But the money is the main temptation. You get fat pay checks and you don't pay tax (if you stay out of the country for more than 6 months in a financial year). You start earning a big salary at a very young age. To give you an example, the starting salary for a 22 year old 3rd officer or 4th engineer (junior most officers on board ships) on an oil tanker is be more than 1500 $ per month (conservatively speaking). This amount depends on the type of ship and the company you join! Officers normally work on a contract basis. Junior officers do 6 to 9 month contracts, while senior officers do 3 to 6 months on board. Remember that you get paid ONLY when you are on board

Astrophysics is the part of astronomy that deals with the physics of stars, stellar systems, and interstellar material. It applies the laws of physics to astronomical bodies in order to help us understand how these bodies formed, how they interact with other bodies, and how they cease to be. Where astronomy traditionally is based on observing, astrophysics applies the principles of physics to ask “why?” and to make predictions.Astrophysics also studies the physical properties (luminosity, density, temperature, chemical composition) of astronomical objects such as stars, galaxies, and the interstellar medium, as well as their interactions. The study of cosmology is theoretical astrophysics at its largest scale; conversely, since the energies involved in cosmology, especially the Big Bang, are the largest known, the observations of the cosmos also serve as the laboratory for physics at its smallest scales as well. Astrophysicists conduct research and teach a wide range of topics, including solar, stellar and plasma physics, cosmology, polarimetry and radio astronomy. They work on a wide range of scientific problems in experimental, observational or theoretical astrophysics and space sciences. These include theoretical studies of nucleosynthetic processes in the early universe, numerical simulations of non-linear plasma processes, analysis and interpretation of data obtained from ground and space based instruments, making observations at optical, infrared, X-ray or radio wavelengths, and participating in the development and construction of forefront astronomical instrumentation.
To become an astrophysicist, you should do your graduation with Physics/Maths/ Astrophysics, or have post graduation specialization in Astrophysics/ Physics followed by doctoral studies in Astrophysics or its related branches. Patience is a valued personality trait for astrophysicists as much as curiosity and problem solving are. You will study gravity, radioactive processes, gas dynamics, stellar physics, galactic physics, general relativity, cosmology, etc.
If you plan to do more applied research, you need to have training in electronics or electrical engineering. If you plan to do more theoretical work, then a concentration in mathematics or computer science is helpful.

I would like to share a few tips that can surely push your moral as well as confidence to score maximum out off which you are desiring to score-
1. Study regularly, take out time for at least three subjects in a day. Work more on those subjects, in which you feel you are weaker than other subjects.
2. Do not leave any subject for more than 2-3 days. Every subject should be taken up for study at least in every alternate day.
3. Devote at least 4-5 hours for self study. Take out a bit of time for relaxing and entertaining also.
4. Whenever you study, don't sit for too long continuously. Take one or two short breaks of 5-10 minutes.
5. Be in touch with the previous years papers, sample papers etc.
6. Take proper care of your health and hygiene. Do regular exercise, take more of green vegetables, milk and other nutritious food. Do not get tensed.
7. Be in contact with your teachers and ask them to evaluate yourself.
Just keep working towards your Goal and keep on evaluating yourself.
