Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) conducts an entrance exam for admission into various paramedical courses offered by the institute. The exam pattern and syllabus for NIMS entrance exam for paramedical courses are as follows:
Exam Pattern:
1. Mode of Exam: The exam will be conducted in offline mode (pen and paper-based).
2. Type of Questions: The question paper will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
3. Duration of Exam: The duration of the exam will be 1 hour and 30 minutes.
4. Number of Questions: The question paper will consist of 100 questions.
5. Marking Scheme: One mark will be awarded for each correct answer, and there will be no negative marking for wrong answers. Syllabus:
The syllabus for the NIMS entrance exam for paramedical courses will cover the following topics:
1. Physics Physical World and Measurement, Kinematics, Laws of Motion Work, Energy and Power, Motion of System of Particles and Rigid Body, Gravitation Properties of Bulk Matter, Thermodynamics Behavior of Perfect Gas and Kinetic Theory, Oscillations and Waves.
2. Chemistry Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry Structure of Atom Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, States of Matter Gases and Liquids, Thermodynamics Equilibrium, Redox Reactions Hydrogen, s-Block Elements (Alkali and Alkaline earth metals), Some p-Block Elements, Organic Chemistry Some Basic Principles and Techniques, Hydrocarbons, Environmental Chemistry.
3. Biology Diversity in Living World, Structural organisation in Animals and Plants, Cell Structure and Function, Plant Physiology, Human Physiology Reproduction, Genetics and Evolution, Biology and Human Welfare, Biotechnology and Its Applications, Ecology and Environment.
4. General Knowledge: Current events, Indian geography, culture, history, politics, and economy, Indian Constitution, and Environmental Science. Candidates can also refer to the NCERT textbooks of Class XI and XII for preparing for the exam.
