A majority of IISER students choose Ph.D. After earning their doctorate, they either work as independent researchers or in companies conducting research. For some, becoming a professor requires completing a post-doc. After receiving their degree, very few Ph.D. candidates begin their careers. 

The median package offered during BSc-MSc placements in 2022 increased by more than 18% in comparison to 2021.

Previously, five IISER Bhopal final-year students were chosen by Deloitte at IISER Bhopal placements 2022, according to data made public by IISER Bhopal. Additionally, as part of the IISER Bhopal summer internships 2022, a third-year BS student was chosen for a three-month summer internship at nuture.farm. In addition, four Indian Institute of Science Education & Research Bhopal students were chosen to participate in IISER internships in France in 2022.

The official announcement of the 2023 placement results is still pending. Previously, 13 of the 152 BSc grads were placed in 2022. In 2021, 3 BSc students were successfully placed out of 138 total. Thirteen BSc students were placed during IISER placements in 2022, according to the report. For BSc students, the median package was INR 11.40 LPA.

Since IISER Pune had 13 students selected for placement and IISER Bhopal has only 5 students. Therefore, IISER Pune offers better placements.

 The top recruiters of IISER Bhopal are as follows - TCS, Union Bank, Deloitte,  Excel Instruments,  IDBI Bank (Industrial Development Bank of India),  Nurture.farm,  SBI (State Bank Of India), Atotech. Based on information provided by IISER Bhopal, Deloitte chose five final-year students for IISER Bhopal placements in 2022. Additionally, as part of the IISER Bhopal summer internships 2022, a third-year BS student was chosen for a three-month summer internship at nuture.farm. The salary package for the year 2023, is not yet been released. However, the median packages for the year 2022  for BSc UG 4th year students is 17.5 Lakhs per annum. The BSc UG 5th years and MSc students have a median package of 6.5 Lakhs per annum. The median package for the year 2021 for the 5th year students was 5.5 Lacs per annum. The top recruiters of IISER Bhopal are TCS, Union Bank,  Deloitte,  Excel Instruments, Industrial Development Bank of India ( DBI Bank ),  Nurture.farm, State Bank Of India, and Atotech. Five year students were selected by Deloitte and one 3rd year student was chosen for 3 months summer internship by Nurture.farm.

Although IISER Bhopal and IISER Pune are both well-known universities offering BSc programmes, there are some distinctions between them concerning admissions, fees, placements. Here are some points:

• Admission: IISER Bhopal offers admission into courses leading to BS-MS Dual Degree, and BS Degree (only at IISER Bhopal) Programs. IISER Pune offers admission into M.Sc programs only. Both taking admission on the basis of KVPY and JEE (Advanced).
• Fees: The total fee for BSc at IISER Bhopal is INR 1,00,000 for the entire course duration. The fee for M.Sc at IISER Pune is INR 1,00,000 per year.
• Placements: The median package for BSc students at IISER Bhopal was INR 11.40 LPA in 2022. Out of 138 students, 3 BSc students were placed successfully in 2021. IISER Pune has thirteen students chosen for placement. Hence, IISER Pune provides superior placement opportunities.
