Hi. Specialization choice should not be money oriented, but based on ur choice and likings. Please do not land in choosing a field that doest bring u satisfaction, but only depression.I always ask my friends to chose a path based on dr area of interest. Do listen to other people, but always ask urself, what u want to see urself as.Analyze ur strengths and weaknesses and then decide ur step towards ur career.
All the best.

Hi.I don't have much idea about the college, but as far as placements are concerned, it all depends only on ur capability and potential, and how much it can be exploited for a company's benefit. Colleges can only provide a base.I have many friends who have done B.E. from simple colleges, but are posted in good organizations as senior managers etc.
Except few colleges like IIMs no one can promise 100% placement.if dey do.its fake.
Visit ur college, consult the students and faculty out there.if u can have access to alumni of that college.it wud b gr8.and then decide.
All the best.
