Every business school conducts admission on the basis on entrance exams like CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT or their own entrance exam. You will not be able to take admission without entrance exam.

Dear Rajesh91148,
It looks like you might have trouble in getting a call with such low CAT scores. Last year the admissions closed out at 70 percentile. If you are a SC/ST category candidate, then you might have a shot here.
Best Wishes.

Hi Navneet!
You stand a good chance to get a call from IIFM. Converting the call is a different ballgame altogether since it depends on various factors such as your interest in this sector, performance in GD&PI etc. There are many students from IT background who are doing extremely well in IIFM including me:) . What is more important is that you absolutely believe in the mandate of IIFM and the kind of work that is expected of us. IIFM is not just a regular Business School. It is an institution unto itself with a very unique program. I would recommend you go through the brochures and websites to understand IIFM's unique PGDFM program be

Yes. BIMTECH offers a PHD program in Management. And specialization depends on your thesis. Go through the following link http://bimtech.ac.in/programmes/doctoral/
There are FPM programs in IIMs too, in case if you are aware. They are considered to be equivalent to Phd. But their cutoffs are much lower as compared to their PGDM programs. The same thing happens in the case of all the B-Schools in India.
PHD in Management is to be preferred only if you are really sure of it, and only after you have measured all the other alternatives available to you.
What all can you do ?
1) 2 years Full-time general MBA/PGDM in India
2) 2 years Full-time s

It is a state university but not worth for doing an MBA. For MBA, you should always look for tier 1 or tier 2 institute only. If you are looking for a quality placement and good learning, more than top 40 institutes are not good enough
