MEM courses are indeed available, but limited. It is quite a good course if you are looking to broaden your knowledge in both technical and managerial skills. It is mostly pursued by engineering graduates. As a MEM graduate you will club business and technology. Job prospects are good and can be found in various sectors, even in RnD.

Yes you can go anywhere you want from Saturday afternoon to Sunday night. Attending classes is compulsory with a minimum attendance percentage of 85%, without which your hall ticket would be blocked during examinations. Or else if you are staying in the hostel, you can get permission from your parents for you to go by sat afternoon till Monday morning before the classes begin.

No there are no dual specializations provided, the first semester starts with all subjects and in second we want to choose the main specialization, that there are 10 kinds of specializations in alliance. The operations are good in Alliance, and the faculties all are well experienced full time professor's, and last year 94% students got placed with an average package of 6.5 lacks and a highest package of 12 lacks.

The cut off last year was 220 though it may vary this year depending on the difficulty level of the exam.
Once you clear the written exam you need to appear for GD & PI. The combined score of the three is considered while deciding the final list of selected students.

No once you are done with your admissions, it doesn't matter how much did you score in your CAT. And only 30% weightage is given to your entrance scores during the selection process. Rest depends on how you perform in your GD PI. Although I'll also suggest you to appear for other entrance test like MAT Feb and May. All the best
