Depends what you want to study. UG courses are generally taught in German and applicants must be fluent in German language. If you are applying for PG courses you will find courses being offered in both English and German. In addition to German language knowledge you must have very good academics.

You need to have passed BA, BA (Hons). Candidate must have completed BA (Hons.)/ BA / Shastri (Hons.) with the required percentage including all subjects studied at BA level except those subjects, where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) mark sheet (The subject in which admission is sought must be Hons. subject at BA (Hons.) level or a subject studied in all the three years at BA level) or Shastri (Hons.) shall also be eligible for the course. Final year appearing candidate can also apply on provisional basis. Only passing marks are required for SC/ST candidates.

Hello Calvin, There is actually nothing like passing JEE Mains. It's an entrance exam that is conducted by National testing agency to screen students who are then cleared for taking another entrance exam for IIT's called JEE Advanced or for seeking admission into different NIT's or CFTI's. This exam is also utilised by many states for streamlining engineering admissions in their states. Hence one needs to score as much as possible to increase the chances of admissions from IIT to the local college in the state.
