Hi Garima, GRE has no such qualification requirement or eligibility. You take GRE to study MS in USA. To pass GRE you will need to practice a lot, take regular mock exams and work on your weak areas. Check the entry requirements on university websites first, every university has their GRE score preferences. Atleast 3-5 months will be required for GRE preparation.

Dropping a year will be well worth if you are determined that you will crack the entrance next time with good marks. Remember, you may regret about not giving entrance exam again only for 1 or 2 years; but there is a risk of decrease in marks next year if you didn't study well or your luck turns wrong. If you want to give a next chance, my opinion will be you should join a good coaching classes focusing admission in IITs or AIIMS. This will hold you set in regular studying. And select one best option, whether to give JEE or NEET.
