No, it won't be sufficient to get good engineering colleges. Although, you can get admission in state funded engineering colleges, so I will suggest you to give a try on them.

Hello,It seems to me that your query is not complete. Because, need to secure more marks for what? Anyway, let me explain. After the publication of the results by NTA JoSAA has announced cutoff percentile for each category. For SC category it is 54.01. It means that you are not cleared to register on their website for possible admission in NIT'S since your percentile is lower than cutoff. You can prepare for next 12 months and once again appear for JEE Mains with the hope of scoring well. Best wishes.

You need to visit the college for the same or request for the application by the college officials.
The eligibility is you must have passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, shall be eligible for the course.
