Hi,
Ivy Leagues are quite competitive as you might know. They not only prefer students with good academics but also students who have a well-developed portfolio. In addition to excelling in academics, you must have solid extracurriculars, state or national level projects, sports, writing, music whatever is of your interest so that universities know you have a solid profile and won't go wasted. You can target a score above 1450.

The admission is purely based on the Tamil Nadu HSC merit list. I got a community rank of 1500, so it was really for me to get a seat here. Cut off matters a lot . Cut off from 197 to 200 will do it to Madras Institute of Technology. Students have to fill the online engineering admission form and the details about counselling will be updated in mails

Hello,
With your JEE main percentile you won't get a seat in any government colleges for engineering. Actually, all the seats get exhausted at around 50,000. So, you have no chances. So please try out for some good private engineering colleges like Sharda, SRM, Manipal University, Amity Univewrsity etc. Here's a list of some good private engineering colleges like
