As correctly mentioned by Suryap2012, the CSAT i.e the prelim papers happen in May- June where as the mains start in October each year. Again, these are not the accurate information and are subject of change as per the notification.

There is no harmful gas produced from an air conditioner. The heat that you feel at the backside of the AC is the hot air removed by the AC from the room to which it is connected.
