It is very important for a fashion designer to come out with some basic designs and then add detailing to them. Most of the times it is the detail which makes the clothes stand out. You need to have a good understanding of colour, texture and fabric quality. You also need to have an understanding of the raw materials that you are working with. Analyse beforehand as to what design will look good with a certain fabric, how can you use it, which colours you can mix with it and so on. A Diploma holder can join B.Tech course (regular or distance) by D2D process after completing Diploma in Engineering. B.Tech programme allows Diploma students to take entry directly into the second year of engineering course. For taking admission in B.Tech, you must have done at least 3 years Diploma after 10th in any branch of engineering. Some colleges take admission through lateral entry exams like Joint Entrance Examination of Lateral Entry (JELET), Diploma to Degree Entrance Competitive exam, etc. So you need to appear and crack these exams. Some colleges conducted their own entrance exam for getting entry. Admission procedure varies from college to college. So you will have to contact colleges individually.

Dear Chirag, you didn't appear for any entrance test like JEE? If not, then try for admission in some good private university. Many reputed private universities are offering B.Tech CSE. They have their different criteria for admissions. Some offer admission on basis of JEE scores, some offer admission on basis of their own tests and some offer admission on the basis of both. Some even offer direct admission on basis of class 12 marks. Some of the universities also offer scholarships on basis of your performance in class 12 or JEE or even during the course. You can check the details of any of the reputed universities like VIT, Lovely, SRM, etc. All these universities have wonderful infrastructure and world-class facilities to offer to students apart from good placements. You have to clear SSB. Speaking about the test process, it is the easiest test where you just have to be yourself. They assess your personality. There is no need to actually prepare anything. Technically, as a trait of your personality you must know what happening around you, in the world, in your country. After spending 4 years of your education in the field you chose, you must have knowledge about it, just the basic knowledge of what you studied. They just look for a responsible personality. If you search you will find OLQ (Officer Like Qualities) which are 15 in count. Those qualities should be present in you which you must also be able to showcase in the tasks they give you. If you have those qualities, it will automatically flow from you so you don't have to worry about it.
