No doubt go For NIT Surat. NIT Surat is Institute of national Importance Comes Under Ministry of HRD. NIT Surat is a fully Residential College. where as VJTI is Private College and Also You Face lot of Problem of hostel. so better go with NIT Surat it is best.

Hi Yogesh, I strongly oppose distance learning courses in astronomy,astrophysics as they need hands on experimentation and rigorous study, The degree earned that way nay not be of much use if you are planning to join orgs like ISRO.

u should go to bangalore institute of technology as it is much better than techno india when it comes to faculty and placement. bangalore is home to many more MNC firms than saltlake in kolkata.
