The thumb rule to crack such Management Examination is Time Management. Just like CAT, time is of utmost importance in MAT as well. Few of the other techniques which can help you cracking MAT is a focus on Language especially grammar, and in Quantitative section focus on memorizing formulas. Few of the books which you can consider reading for the preparation of MAT is: Barron's, Kaplan; Master the MAT, MAT Secrets.

Although, you may not find any Universities giving Lateral Entry programme through Distance learning that too approved by UGC and DEC but you definitely can do your MBA through Distance learning from Institutes like IGNOU which has global presence.
