Colleges where after passing out, most students get high-paying jobs are called tier 1 colleges. As can be expected, older IITs fall under this category. On the other hand, colleges where students have negligible opportunities for getting jobs are called tier 4 institutes. As one can guess or imagine, tier 2 & 3 colleges fall between these two extremes.

Birla Institute of Technology, Patna is not in tier 1 or tier 4. Its majority of students do get placed albeit at lower salaries. Henc

Hello, BIT Patna admits students based on entrance tests conducted. It admits students with valid GATE score. However it needs to be noted that while making merit list, weightage to GATE is 80% and balance 20% weightage is for marks obtained in 10th/12th and graduation exams. For non GATE students, process of making merit list is same with GARE replaced by the entrance exam through which student desires admission.

Hello, BIT Mesra started its campus in Patna in the year 2006 and since then it has earned quite a name. This institution offers courses at UG, PG and doctoral research levels. Its MBA too is very well known for its high placement rate. In fact, as per one report, 90% of students with an MBA were placed. It has consistently achieved figures over 85% of placements. However, the CTC that the students got is not much to write about. It has reported highest at INR 7L, lowest at ?4.20L, average at INR 4.88L, and median at 4.60L.

But then getting placed is much more important than getting a higher CTC.

Best wishes to you.

Getting into Birla Institute of Technology Patna for B.Tech with a score of 200 in JEE mains can be quite competitive. Generally, Birla Institute of Technology Patna has a cutoff that varies each year based on many factors, including the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and the overall performance of candidates.

As of the last few years, a score of 200 might be on the lower side for popular branches like computer science or electronics. However, it could still be possible for less sought-after branches. It's best to check the previous year's cutoff Trends for BIT Patna to get a clearer Idea.

Hello, in today's world thinking of 100% placements is an utopia. Even IIT's don't report 100% placements.

If we go by the previous trends, placement figure of about 60% and more is considered quite good and above 80% can be considered as excellent. Placement in BIT Patna falls somewhere between these two figures. However one must understand that placements is directly proportional to the industrial climate in the country and it can go up and down depending on the situation at that point in time. In all these situations the percentage of placements in CSE is always good as compared with placements in other branches of
