For a course in the UK, the basic entry requirement says atleast 50% marks in qualifying examinations (some case above 60%) and an English Language requirement such as IELTS / TOPEFL/PTE. These qualifications would provide you with the entry to the institution, For the visa to be stamped, there are requirements specified by the UK BA. These include having your living expenses in your Bank account for a period of 28 days and this has to be submitted to the Visa embassy at the time of your visa application. If the institution in which you are studying is university or a Highly trusted Education provider then you have the permission to work part time. However, Please note that Part time work is to earn some valuable experience and to take care of your extra expenses while you study in the UK. This amount may not be enough to completely take care of your expenses while in the UK. So be sure about what you are planning. It should not be that you start your course and then for your daily expenses you have great issues in regards to your expenses.

The first and the foremost thing to check while deciding on any college in the UK is to know whether the institution is approved by the UKBA and whether it is under the Highly trusted Sponsors list. Those institutions which are not in the list are not eligible to provide visa liters to overseas students and the students would not get the visa to study in the institution.
