Salary :
Salary depends on various parameters such as size of the organization, profile, qualification, experience etc.
But, still, to give you a brief idea,
Engineers employed in government sectors are paid according to the official scales whereas in private sectors are paid according to the scales decided by the management of the company.
The estimated initial salary in government/public sectors such as HAL, NAL are Rs. 8,000 to Rs.10, 000 without other allowances.
Graduates working in private sectors can earn around Rs. 9,000 to Rs. 15,000 every month plus perks.
Engineering graduates with management degrees can get their initial income between Rs.10, 000 to Rs. 40,000 every month.
Skilled professionals working in airline industries can get fringe benefits of free travel for self and family also, apart from numerous other perks.

After completing your undergraduate degree in engineering you have 2 options:
1.To opt for a job.
2.To opt for further studies (MBA, M.Tech, MS, etc)
However as per your profile I would suggest you to work for 2-3 years after completing your B.Tech and then opt for further studies.The advantage of this step would be:
- You will gain relevant work experience.
- After working you will know which course to pursue that can further enhance your career prospects, i.e. if you wish to build your career in technical field, then you may pursue masters in same or related fields, whereas if you are interested in management then you may pursue MBA.
- If you are interested in pursuing MBA, then this work experience would help you to decide which specialization to opt in MBA that can further enhance your career prospects, however as per your profile pursuing MBA in finance or operations management would be the best option for you.
- The other advantage of work experience would be that during admission in MBA, you will have advantage over candidates with no work experience.
- Finally if you work for some years then you may yourself manage the expenses for your further studies.
I would suggest that before opting for any course you must first decide in which field you wish to build your career and accordingly you can select the best course as per your interest and liking.
As a student you should give your 100% in whichever course you opt for, and if you do well then getting a good job with handsome salary should not be a problem.
