Hi,
There is one confusion that I am having from your question . if you want to do a business, why do you want a degree in Mechanical Engineering in the first place? Let me clarify you . its better you go for a degree in Management rather than Mechanical as though you may be manufacturing something but Mechanical Engineering won't help you there. You need knowledge of finance, markets etc. you can hire a consultant who can help you with engineering knowledge required to setup your business . which you would have to do anyways. as you might have degree and knowledge but you won't have experience of setting up your firm.
