B. B.tech. is surely a better option before MBA but in between B. Tech. and MBA work for 2-3 years in the industry to get far better results of your studies and placements.

For MBA, you need to be a graduate in a relevant discipline. So you can analyze the various opportunities available and select the right path based on your personal criteria which should include:
*The interest and aptitude towards the subject
*Interest to get a job
*The future Demand for the particular program
You even have the choice to pick a similar specialization later.
Ex:
Banking/Finance- B.COM, BBA, BBM, B.A.F, B.A Economics
IT/Operations- B.SC CS/IT, BCA, B.E/B.TECH
Event Management/Media Management- Bachelor degree in Journalism, Mass Communication or Public Relations

if your institute is not recognized by AICTE than your degree is creates problem in your future. first of all your higher studies will affected and the institute and university Second at the time of job searching organisations are not willing to pick you in job and you are not eligible for government job.Beware of this.
