For long term career growth, it will be ideal if you go for two-year full-time regular MBA from any of the top 50 B-Schools. In case you can not take out two years for full-time MBA due to personal constraints then you may opt for regular one-year EMBA. Your third option should be part-time MBA and last option is MBA through distance learning.

The first year at NIFT is the foundation year in which you spend around Rs 1,000 each month on stationary and other materials. In the second year you go to your respective departments (example: fashion design, accessory design, fashion communication) and the expenditure varies from course to course. In fashion designing, there's no limit to the expenditure on fabrics. The fabrics range from 100rs/meter to 2000rs/meter. So to give an estimate on the expenditure is actually not possible. It's completely upto the student and his taste.

Hi AB,
I don't think it is a good idea to drop a year for the preparation of NATA. Maybe a month of dedicated practice is more than enough to crack NATA.
