Firstly, you have to give JEE mains exam with minimum 75% marks in class 12th and have to pass this exam with your category cutoff, then you have to go through JEE advance exam in which you have to compete with 2 lakh students in which you have to score under 10000 ranks, then you will get good IITs college.

B.Tech through lateral entry admission process varies in different engineering colleges. Admission in DTU is based on marks scored in Diploma in engineering. The admission in Manipal University is based on its B.Tech entrance examination. Some states conduct LEET exam for lateral entry admission in the state engineering colleges.
