Getting admission to B.Tech Mechanical Engineering at Government College of Technology (GCT), Coimbatore, is competitive but feasible with good marks in the 12th-grade exams. Admission is based on Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA), where cutoffs for mechanical engineering typically vary each year. It can be slightly higher due to the branch's popularity, but students who meet the required criteria generally secure a seat. The process is relatively straightforward if you have strong academic credentials and meet the cutoff.
