Bengal Institute of Business Studies, in general, is considered a Tier-2 business school in India. In general, Tier 1 institutions are those which happen to be ranked at the top and highly prestigious ones, such as IIMs, XLRI, and ISB, endowed with global reputation and known for their very competitive selection processes. Bengal Institute of Business Studies has a very strict refund policy. The tuition fees paid are generally not refundable except under any valid reason or sudden circumstances. In some cases, the cancellation fee, as small the amount is, would be deducted. In cases of students who do not have a valid reason for withdrawal, the chances of refunding the money are scarce.
