Dear Sai,
I can totally understand your dilemma in this case as I have been through the same.

Ravi your compartment is not going to be problem with your placement but may be you wont be able to take admission in B.Tech this year as by the time your result is going to be out admissions would have ended.
Better would be to take admission in a lower course that you can get upgraded to higher course after your compartment result. Check the websites of some good universities like MMU, LPU, SMU, SRM etc for more details.

Prashant first you decide what you want? A job or higher degree. It is not possible to do B.Tech part time or through distance mode but yes you can do a part time job with your B.tech degree. There are many good universities around like Baddi university, LPU etc that provide students with the opportunities of part time jobs too. So, you can try for B.Tech lateral entry in one of them.

Mandeep I doubt if you can do M.Tech IT from PU as their eligibility criteria says you need to be B.Tech. But you can go for M.Tech IT from another reputed university in Punjab i.e LPU. Their eligibility criteria says Pass with 50% aggregate marks in BE/ B.Tech (CSE /IT /ECE) or MCA/ M.Sc (IT/ Computer Science/ Physics/ Mathematics/Stats) or equivalent subject to valid score LPU NEST 2014.
