To be eligible for a course in basic teacher training, one must be a graduate in any field with at least 55% passing marks. These courses include bachelors of Arts, Science and Fine arts etc. The course can be availed in both the language mediums that are English and Hindi. Most institutions have an entrance test that includes a paper on general knowledge and current affairs. There is also a paper that is for the subject the teacher wishes to teach. To get a score in the general knowledge paper you should keep yourself updated with the present and past year's current affairs.
Once the teacher training course is over you are qualified to apply in any school up to the higher secondary level. Being qualified with the degree of teaching also increases your pay scale in comparison to teachers who do not have a degree in the same. Managing human and material resources, the Ground Duty Branch is the mechanism that steers the Indian Air Force.
As a Graduate/ Post Graduate you can join as an officer in any of the following Ground Duty Branches:
1. Administration Branch
Responsible for the efficient management of both human and material resources. Some of the officers of the Administration Branch are selected and trained to carry out the following duties also:
Air Traffic Controller – Involves maintaining an orderly flow of traffic and airspace management.
Fighter Controller – Involves close contact and supervision between the air and radar for effective airspace management.
2. Accounts Branch
Responsible for efficient financial management of funds.You will also act as internal auditor to ensure a zero-defect audit from outside agencies.
3. Logistics Branch
Responsible for materials management of all Air Force resources. You would ensure efficient supervision of inventories, and involve in procurement processes of various ranges of equipment.
