To pursue a career in Aeronautical engineering after completion of your Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is possible (through Lateral Entry)provided this option is available with the institutes you wish apply and also the admission procedure for this will differ but then in most of the institutes offering Aeronautical Engg, the admissions will take place on the basis of qualifying an entrance test as conducted by the institute.

If you are looking for a career in Banking and Finance sector SAS would be a good option but I would suggest that you should try and do your SAS training from a SAS authorized training centre. To pursue M.Tech from any of the NITs, you require to complete your B.tech and should have a valid GATE score based on which the admissions shall take place like on 30th January 2011 (1st online GATE for the new sessions.) and 13th Feb 2011 (Offline exam).
