the criteria says that u can apply for jee for 2 consecutive years from year of passing/appearing 12th board or other equivalent exams.
for example;if u appear for boards in 2013 then u are eligible to apply for jee this year(2013) and next year(2014).
if u choose nt to appear for jee this year ,then u will have only one chance to appear in 2014.
In any case u will not be allowed to appear for jee after 2 years from passing ur boards( in this case u wl nt b allowed to appear from 2015 onwards)
