I know that your life will be doomed in Ramaiah Institute of Management studies. Please don't fall into the trap.
Nothing is good about this MBA College.
MS Ramaiah is a very good college.
RIMS just uses the same brand name, that is all.
Most people think that MS Ramaiah and RIMS is the same.
But, it is not the truth .
RIMS is way out of the main campus , and is under MS Ramaiah foundation. They promise good placement, but none of their promise are met at the end.
Same is for Ramaiah Institute of Business Studies (RIBS ) and Ramaiah Institute of Legal Studies (RILS)
These are not the same as MS Ramaiah.
They lie about the placement and everything.
They are very money minded people.
Poor infrastructure and management
Requires 90% attendance, otherwise Rs. 10000 fine.
Uniform is made of synthetic.
If you are late by 2 mins in class, you don't get attendance.
Teacher will confiscate your phone, if seen using anywhere inside the campus.
No fashion trends, like coloring hair or making bun or having Beard etc. is allowed.
It is a horrible college. Please don't join.

If you are in class 12 then you can take up any stream it wouldn't matter. However, if you have electives in school then you can choose arts as a subject through which you can develop your interest in drawing.
If you have passed class 12 then:
You could take up certificate courses (6 months-1 year), diploma (1 year-2 years) or degree programme (3 years-5 years). Degree programmes might require you to take entrance exams of respective universities and prepare a portfolio.
Courses in fashion design are available in areas such as accessory and jewellery designing, modelling, garment designing, leather designing, interior designing, textile technology, textile design, footwear designing and technology.
You could also take up a Bachelors in designing and choose your major in the final years of graduation. You could do this if you are not sure of which specialisation to take or to keep your options open.
You could also pursue a degree in Fashion Management which does not entail direct designing but if you are interested in management roles in the fashion Industry then this could be very good for you. The programme basically has its focus on fashion merchandising and management, visual presentation, store management, and marketing strategies. You'll study modules like - consumer behaviour, trend analysis, fashion forecasting, market research methodologies, fashion promotion or PR, branding and brand management, creative presentation programmes, fashion psychographics and visual merchandising techniques. The programme in fashion management offers you specialisations in areas like retailing, merchandising, fashion buying, marketing, branding and trend forecasting.
