I have few friends who have enrolled into this course and from their perspective i can say that they are satisfied with the facilities and teaching qualities of the department.
The environment is quite inspiring and presence of friendly attitude of seniors make it worth.
I can't provide you with exact placement details but as far as i know the placement record of department is above par with many recrutiers having a known name in the field of hospitality and catering services.
Moreover, being a institue of national repute that too in a state capital attracts the top restaurants and hotels of the state for recruitment from this branch.
As far as i know, the admission process from next year will be based on All India Examinations which will increase not only the no. of students but also their quality and hence, the placements and alumni network.

There are certain career option available after B Sc (Bio Technology) like M Tech (Biotech),M Sc (Biotech.),M Sc (Biochemistry) Post M.Sc. (Agriculture). There are multiple career option available in Bio Tech field. One can opt for work in agricultural Industries, Chemical Industries and pharmaceutical companies. There are certain short term courses available for the students are like Diploma in Biotechnology, Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Research & Regulatory Affairs, Biotechnology Training; Certificate Program in Clinical Research and Diploma in Biotechnology. u can also visit the various institutes/colleges providing quality education and better placements services. Some of the colleges/institutes are IIT khargpur, IIT Rurkee, Lovely professional University.
