North Bengal University is one the best colleges in West Bengal. The placement cell of the college is very good and awesome. The college is a government aided college. This college is best in Siliguri as the fee is nominal. The highest package is 20lpa from the college and the lowest is 5lpa so the average package offered by the college to the students is overall 8-9lpa for all the students from any of the branches or streams.

North Bengal University releases the cutoff for admission for ongoing session however the cutoff marks are based on the university entrance test. The tentative schedule of the cutoff is oct-nov. Till october all cutoffs are released.
At postgraduate level, NBU offers full-time MA, M.Sc, LL.M and M.LI.Sc courses along with PG Diploma courses in various specializations. Yes. The eligibility criteria for North Bengal University is-
- Candidates who have completed 10+2 with a minimum of 55% marks are eligible to apply for BA LLB at NBU.
- There are no entrance examinations for admission to BA LLB conducted by NBU, it is merit-based. The enrolment is decided based on the merit list published by the university which takes the marks in the qualifying exam into consideration.

It is somewhat OK for MBA programme because of these reasons-
- North Bengal University does not provide good placements in comparison of other University
- To get a seat in North Bengal University is hard which makes the students less interested in this univerity
- The placements cell is not very active
- The fees is too high for MBA programme
- The cutoff goes very high because of less seats in MBA programme
so overall I will suggest if you have last option then you can go for it otherwise It is not very good university for MBA programme.

I don't think that North Bengal University is hard to get. Admission in undergraduate course like BA, B.Sc, B.Com LLb are done on the basis of the merit list published by the university with respect to the candidates' marks in their last qualifying exam.
Admission in post graducate prgramme like MA, M.Sc M.Com are offered on the basis of the written test followed by viva conducted by the university.
For MBA programme a valid score in CMAT/MAT/CAT/ATMA/JMET/XAT/WBJEMAT/NBU-MAT is required.

A very good college for those who want to study in Siliguri and get a good package. Placements: In 2022, the highest package was 32LPA which was offered to a CSE student of 2023 pass-out.The college was affiliated to University of Calcutta till 1962.
