Hi Ushma, to become IAS Officer you need to apply for the UPSC Civil services examination and to apply for this examination you need to complete your graduation degree course in any discipline form a recognised University. To apply for this examination your age should between 21 to 30 years.
The examination was Conducted into 2 Stages, Preliminary examination and Main examination, preliminary examination was Objective and there are 2 Papers in preliminary examination, so you have to crack the preliminary examination first and then you are eligible to sit in main examination.
General candidates may apply for this examination only 4 Times, OBC Candidates may attempt 7 Times and No Limits for SC/ST Candidates.
The application form is available in the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices. For any particular information related to the IAS exam, do visit the official website of UPSC.
