First of all it is very important to understand the difference between PGDM and MBA and see it in a right prospective
The main difference between PGDM and MBA is that PGDM is a postgraduate diploma program which is given by stand alone / Autonomous Institutes which come under the jurisdiction of AICTE like XLRI, SP Jain etc. And MBA is a degree program provided only by Universities and come under the jurisdiction of UGC like JBIMS and FMS, PUMBA, these B-schools are university depts. of their respective university. It depends on the schools/ institute's reputation from where you are doing the course. Like PGDM program from XLRI
