Both institutes were established in 2019 by the Ministry of Healthcare and Family Welfare (MHFW) under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY).

As per the update in January 2022, AIIMS Deoghar and AIIMS Bathinda, being prestigious medical institutions in India, primarily focus on medical education and research rather than traditional job placements. Their reputation lies in producing highly skilled medical professionals.

However, in AIIMS, Deoghar, 125 students were placed in the 2023 batch. The same package is for every student after passing the course. Every student gets an internship from the college. After completing a 5.5-year MBBS, they can join any government hospital as a doctor. AIIMS provides an internal quota for PG seats.

The admissions are AIIMS Bathinda entrance-based. For all the undergraduate programmes, admission will be based on the all-India ranking secured by the candidate in NEET-UG and the AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Entrance exam. All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bathinda (AIIMS Bathinda) is a medical college and medical research public university based in Bathinda, Punjab, India. As one of the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences, it operates autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The fee at AIIMS, Bathinda is INR 7,326 for the whole MBBS program of 66 months, while Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital charges INR 2.66 Lakhs for 66 months of the MBBS course. 

Both the universities are approved by NMC. AIIMS, Bathinda offers 100 seats for MBBS, while Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital offers 120 seats for MBBS. 

Placements are also good in both colleges, however, AIIMS, Bathinda is much cheaper than Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital.

It is a very affordable medical institute and can be considered a good option for medical studies.

Based on student review:

Academics are really good at AIIMS Bathinda. Being a new Institute teachers invest a lot in students. They genuinely care about our studies so if you enjoy studying, you will have a lot of fun. Teachers are from USA, England, AIIMS Delhi, PGIMER Chandigarh etc. But of course it's not all studies.

Another benefit I felt from studying in a new institute is that our batch was of only 50 students and we are like a family. And this is the best part, trust me. Hostel life is a lot more fun when your circle isn't confined to 5-6 people. Imitatially, I remember getting to know different cultures from different students of various states. The environment is friendly, not at all toxic.

It totally depends on your preferences at the end of the day, but my opinion would be AKU over SACT

AKU - Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam University offers various graduate courses including MBA (Master of Business Administration).
