Social Work is a job with high responsibilities which require good inter personal communication skill, emotional stability, objectivity and sensitivity. Besides educational qualifications, a social worker requires certain personality traits like compassion for the underprivileged and a genuine urge or interest to help them, capacity to work hard under far-from-perfect working conditions, patience and dedication. A social worker should be a good listener, be supportive, know how to comfort people and be ready to work under any circumstances with out any time schedule. They should not have judgmental approach but should have a flexible outlook. They must be able to understand human psychology, should posses the ability to analyze an issue and take decisions apt to the situation.

If you want to be more qualified engineer then qualify GATE and continue with M.Tech which will make you eligible to join any engineering college as a faculty member. If you are tired of studying from books and preparing for exams then take a break in academics and get into a Job related to you Trade chosen in 4th yr. B.Tech. Acquire 2-3 years hands on experience on your field of specialisation and also learn about functioning of an organisation. Experience matters more in the job market than high degrees oftenly. Start saving lots of money at young age. Parallely prepare for CAT and try to get into any of the IIMs for MANAGEMENT COURSE. OR qualify GMAT and go for M.B.A (HR) or Operations , if you do it by Distance Education then you will gain more Job experience and simultaneously higher qualification also. If you think working as engineer is tiresome in middle age career , say after 5-8 yrs experience, you can do Doctorate in Management from IIM or Ph.D (Management) from IGNOU even. Then you will get easy and lucrative job in TECHNICAL ENGINEERING COLLEGES ALSO. Technical Lecturers and professors are offered packages up to 3-5 crores even. Make a strong base and rise higher in space beyond sky. All the best.
