1. Practice as much as possible. Speak to people.
2. Listen to podcasts.
3. Read books and online magazines and watch English movies. When you don't understand or something is new, mark it. Check the meaning, reference and context and use it next time.
4. Even if you don't take up English exams, check out free material for exams like IELTS and TOEFL. It surely helps to hone your skills. And whatever you pick up do it regularly. Like say 1 hour every day and over a period of 6 months you will surely see the improvement.
