Economics teachers train students in a wide range of economic and financial subjects, such as markets, supply, demand, profit and competition.
Becoming an economics teacher normally entails completing MA in Economics and pursue B.Ed.
A candidate shall be eligible for admission to the course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Education(B.Ed)provided:
(i) The candidates who have undergone 10+2+3(15) or 11+1+3(15) pattern of study and passed the X and Xll examinations conducted by the respective state board or CBSE or any other recognized board of education/Examination and UG Degree examination of the UGC approved universities in any one of the school subjects offered by the directorate of school education at the secondary or higher secondary education level.
If you are interested in teaching jobs in government sector, there are several state governments which offer a very low salary range to the teachers.
While to get central teacher job, you have to clear CTET exam.
You can also pursue a career as Lectureship as well. You can appear for National Eligibility Test since by completing post graduation. Your subject for NET exam would be management.

You need to have a bachelor's degree (3-year course) or equivalent with minimum 50% & above marks in any discipline recognised by any Indian University / AICTE as eligible for post-graduate studies.
You can apply while you are in your final year of graduation. If you do get through the admission test, you will be given provisional admission on the condition that you provide your mark sheet and a certificate of passing by a certain date.

Hi,
Its little bit difficult to say anythnig about VIT because last year around 4,720 students are offered admissions at VIT University ,Vellore and Chennai.
Out of this number, 3600 seats were offered to students at VIT Vellore and the remaining 1,120 at VIT Chennai but only the first 20,000 rank holders are called for counselling.
All major branches like CS, EC, EE are likely to close at 9,000 in main campus and 15,000 in chennai campus

Please note that as the medium of education in universities abroad is english so all the international students whose first or native language is not english have to take TOEFL or IELTS test to prove their english language proficiency.
Besides TOEFL or IELTS you also need to take below mentioned tests:
GRE: For pursuing masters degree in science and engineering fields from universities in US, Canada, Germany, Singapore.
GMAT: For pursuing MBA from universities abroad.
SAT: For pursuing undergraduate degree from universities in US, Singapore etc.
