From what I've seen, LPU's last year placement record was quite decent. Many students got placed across different streams, with average packages around ₹10-13 LPA and some students getting much higher offers (even ₹17+ LPA in certain cases). Big companies also visit, especially for tech and management roles.
Compared to many other private colleges, LPU has a more structured placement system with regular drives and training support. It's not 100% for everyone, but if you're active with skills and internships, chances are pretty good.

JEE Mains rank predictor is an online tool which predicts the candidates rank range and probable colleges based on the difficulty level of the examination, average marks scored in JEE Mains and seats available in IITs, NITs, GFTIs, and other SFTIs. With 72 marks, I doubt if you will be able to get admission in Manipal University, at least in the courses for which students make a beeline. However, for the branches which are not much in demand you perhaps will get admission. Best wishes to you.
