Dear Vaibhav,
NET examination would be conducted by University Grants Commission, New Delhi, which expects a full Master's degree in various disciplines, with post graduate Diplomas you cannot take the entrance examination for lectureship or for research fellowship. BUT there is other chance for you, IIMs offer FPM, Fellow Programme in Management equivalent to PhD. With PG diploma you can do FPM programme.

You may pursue Bachelors in pure sciences with Mathematics, Physics subjects. Then follow it up with research and development experience and teaching. This will help you stay close to passion. Hi Kamal,
The admissions are based on two streams.
Stream 1: JEE scores and board exam marks. (70percentof seats)
Stream 2: only board exam marks (30 percent of seats)
Since, you have only the board exam scores and the board exam marks is also a little low, you have medium or low chances only to get admission at Sastra University, Thanjavur.
The website is www.sastra.edu. And the last date is June 10.
So, apply for counselling and try your luck.

The website to apply for single window counselling under Anna university is www.annauniv.edu and then click TNEA 2017.
The registration number will be automatically printed in your hard copy if you have filled all the details.
First, you must fill up your personal details then you can preview and save it.
Then, you must pay the required fees and after that, you cannot edit your personal details.
Then comes your academic details, which you must fill after the declaration of results and then only, you must preview and take a print out.
