Dear Rahul, Yes, you can get admission for CSE in LPU with 85% in 12th from UP board but you have to fulfill the other eligibilities as well for the same. You should have a minimum of 60% marks in the 12th class with mandatory subjects English Maths and Physics. Moreover, you have to qualify for the either LPU NEST exam or should have a minimum of 85 percentile in the JEE Mains exam. I did MBA from LPU and one of my friend's younger brothers is also studying over there in B.Tech CSE. There are a few parameters I would like to share with you why CSE is good at LPU. Engineering in Computer Science and Petroleum are two entirely different courses. While pursuing B.Tech CSE you get to learn about computers, hardware and softwares, B.Tech Petroleum engineering is purely based on chemicals. So choose your field according to the subject that interests you.
If it's C++ then go for CSE and if its Chemistry and Hydrocarbons choose petroleum.
Also keep in mind that you career and placements options entirely depends on the stream you're gonna choose.
Whatever your choice be, you can join University of Technology and Management (UTM) for either of the respective fields. They offer both the courses and their placement record is also very good.
