Definitely Law is a good career option, also I would suggest you to take up courses like B.Com or BAF which are good options for this purpose, however, the best is up to your area of interest and without knowing your inclination providing any information in particular may not hold the desired relevance.

Please note that UGC is a body which gives recognition to the Universities, the recognition of Institutes are not under UGC but it comes under MHRD, for example Instition of Engineers is recognised by MHRD and it conducts the examination AMIE, which is treated at par with BE or B.Tech from any University. So, even if it is not under UGC still it is recognised. Similary, IETE, IME, ICE, IChE all are recognised Institutes under MHRD. But keep in mind all these Institutes are meant for working class people as a full time student, you should not join these Institute.
