Shipping Industry is a good sector where one may build a rewarding career. It is an important sector, which is crucial for the growth and stability of the Global Economy. Shipping Industry generates a number of job opportunities. Marine Engineers are required by the Industry in large numbers. After the completion of the course and 6 months of sea service, one will be able to get the Class 4 Marine Engineer Officer Certificate of Competency. After getting this certificate, one may join Merchant Navy ships as a Marine Engineer. While selecting Marine Engineering College, check whether they are approved by the Director General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping or not.

Dear Gelo, As far as I know, to get admission in B.Tech at IIT, you should have qualified for both JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. On the other hand, to get admission at LPU in B.Tech, you should have a minimum of 60% marks in the 12th class with mandatory subjects English Maths and Physics. Moreover, you have to either qualify for the LPU NEST exam or you should have a minimum of 85 percentile in JEE Mains exam. LPU offers B.Tech in various programmes such as CSE, EE, ECE, ME, CE, Automobile, Chemical, Aerospace, Biotechnology, etc. I recommended my cousin to do B.Tech from LPU itself. Commendable Placement: In LPU, more than 550+ national and multinational companies visit for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. The maximum package availed for the Engineering programme is 42 LPA till now.
