Eligibility criteria for admissions in Joint Seat Allocation Authority or JoSAA are set by IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs which usually include a benchmark of a minimum of 75% in Class 12 examinations (or in the top 20 percentile of respective boards) as qualification for eligibility into undergraduate programs in the institutes.

However, these sorts of requirements are not strictly applicable in the case of all institutions that come under the JoSAA purview-some of them specifically waive such eligibility conditions for candidates of SC/ST, PwD, or other reserved categories when applying to their institution. Below is the list of passive eligibility conditions with respect to the institutes under JoSAA where applicants do not need to fulfill the condition of 75%:

Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs):

The eligibility criteria of 75% are relaxed for SC/ST/PwD candidates and they can avail the admission based on their JEE Advanced rank.

National Institutes of Technology (NITs):

NITs are available for SC/ST/PwD candidates as no criteria relating to admission will be applicable to the 75% eligibility criteria. The respective category will get admission from JEE Main rank.

Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs):

Like the above, all IIITs also exempt the applications from SC/ST/PwD referred to the 75% eligibility criteria.

Of the Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs):

There are also some GFTIs that have opted not to observe the 75% criteria for candidates who belong to certain reserved categories (SC/ST/PwD). The condition has a degree of variability visiting from GFTI to GFTI.

To put it another way: the 75% eligibility criterion does not apply to SC/ST/PwD applicants for admission by JoSAA in IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. Any other candidate must meet the prescribed eligibility as stipulated.

Category: The category you belong to (General, OBC, SC/ST etc.) matters a lot in deciding the cut-off for admission. For example, a score of 550 might be good enough for candidates belonging to made categories but for general candidates, it would mean much higher.

State versus All India Quota: Cut off for a government college usually is lower under state quota than in the All India quota. In some states, it may be possible to get admission under these states as compared to All India seats where you still need to score higher.

GRMC (Gajra Raja Medical College) Gwalior is a government medical college. It is an extremely old medical college in Madhya Pradesh, established in 1946. The college is affiliated with Jiwaji University, Gwalior, and it offers courses in undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate levels in various medical disciplines. As a government college, it provides quality medical education at low fees compared to private colleges. The college also has a well-equipped hospital to give hands-on training and clinical exposure to the students.
