No, it won't be possible. You need to apply in the 1st year, and even if you plan to take admission in 2nd year, firstly you need to clear your backlogs only then admission is possible.

AMIE doesn't offer B.Tech, first of all, and neither it is valid. It is not recognised by AICTE and is a complete waste. BCA from SMU is also a waste as SMU is not a very good distance course provider. I would suggest taking lateral entry into regular BCA or B.Tech. Instead of pursuing a distance course as they will not be able to get you a job. I am saying this because I have done courses from both SMU and AMIE (which I dropped) and they are not at all helpful.

I am now enrolled in a Full Stack Software Engineering postgraduate degree that is offered online. I chose NIIT after much research, and it was a wonderful decision. You need to be in top Rank to get CSE at NIT Warangal. The top JEE scorers always opt of either NIT-W or JEE advance. If they are successful in JEE advance then they migrate to IIT . But it's always better to get a very good rank , marks like more a than 270 will be much better that is the safe side .Though there is a slight difference in ranks for home state and other state. Closing may vary depending upon the cutoff.
