You have to look at scoring a minimum of 700 plus in the MAT exam to make it to a reputed B School. Moreover, very few reputed B Schools, accept MAT scores. They prefer either CAT or XAT scores. Deepak, you have tell why you want to shift from Engg to BCA. Which branch of engg were you in. And why you dropped. I am not sure how good you are with maths and programming. If you are, then you must pick up Programming and take a language whether PHP/ HTML5 (web dev), .Net (for software dev) Java/ Android (for apps) or C#/ Unity (for games). However like i mentioned, you must be good with programming to move ahead in this area since you have to compete with other MCAs and BTech(CS) applicants. As your academic % is less than 50%, you can try private institutions in India. Overseas you may be eligible for MS programs but options would be limited!
