You can join police services as an officer in the following ways. All these required graduations as eligibility. One is you go for a specific state's SI (sub-inspector) exam which a two-star officer and you will get promoted for inspector after 8-9 years depending on the cities. In a small city, it takes 7-8 years and in big cities, it takes 9-10 years.
