After pursuing Diploma, you have two options in your hands. One is to work and another one is to further study. From job point of view, it would be a starting point for you. It will give you a vocational qualification which would be an asset for You. You can enter the industry after Diploma and can enter good salary after years of experience. I have seen many project managers who are simply Diploma holders but with experience they reach to higher designations and attain good salaries. Though, On the other hand, some of the Gulf employers and other UAE companies specifically demand for Degree holders in their job advertisements. So, certainly, you will like to think about aspect of increasing your qualification later on in your life. But that would be your decision (based on your own circumstances later on in your life). Another lucrative thing is about government job opportunities. As a Diploma holder, you can sit in government competitive exams for Junior Engineers in almost every state of India and at national level. There is a huge demand due to infrastructural development in the country. Apart from that, if you decide to continue your studies after Diploma to attain a degree qualification, it would be a good choice for you as It will open many options to you. Now, speaking from my personal experience, I have following points to support here: -
-If you pursue B.Tech after Diploma, around 60% of core subjects will be covered by you. This means You will be among top students in your B.Tech class and will pass the degree with flying colors. -After doing Diploma, you will save one year by enrolling in second year of B.Tech programme and will complete your study in three years. Also, your confidence will be very high as compared to other students who join degree after 10+2. Your knowledge and understanding about core subjects will be much higher as compared to other students. -Your employment chances will be very prosperous If you complete both Diploma as well as degree in engineering. The employers will definitely give you priority owing to the fact that your fundamental knowledge will be very strong. Moreover, you will have two degrees in your hand which will be beneficial to you. I hope it will help you.
