Hi,
Last year, the closing rank for IP University (BA LLB) was 1738. These number of students were called for 1st counselling session and 4310 was the closing rank for 2nd counselling.
You might make it to the first counselling session as per your rank.
As per the counselling sessions, students are given admissions in the respective colleges.

The selection to JRE is based on their aptitude test score which consists of written test, group discussion and personal interview. Candidates who have the score of CAT/MAT/XAT above 80 percentile are exempted from our aptitude test. Chances of selection is high if score in the CAT/MAT/XAT is 80 percentile and above.So I believe you can definitely try. Check their website for admissions procedure and details jre.edu.in

To pursue B.E. / B.Tech :
- You need to complete 12th with minimum 60% (Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry) from recognized board to join good college. However, they are colleges which take students who have scored 45% - 50%.
- You need to appear in entrance exam.
2)
Some of the colleges offering B.Tech civil engineering are :
-College of Engineering, Guindy (CEG)
-M.V.J. College of Engineering
-ITM University
-Dr. M.G.R.University Education and Research
