Firstly, B.Sc. Chemistry is more related to pure Science where you focus mainly on the chemical properties, reactions and their outcomes. On a deeper level you can conceptualize the creation of new compounds being a chemist. While, B.Tech in Chemical Engineering is more of an applied Science where you debottleneck the process conceptualized by a chemist to fit to the real world scenario. You will work to construct and operate large scale equipment that scale up the laboratory scale concept for real life applications. You will more be into designing scaled up equipment for the laboratory process to become feasible in a way that they are safe and easy to operate.

Because, the real knowledge is in Mines in the field, not in the book. The opening rank for getting admission in NITR in mining engineering for SC candidates is 1848 and closing rank is 4817, for other states. And, for home state the opening rank is 3467 and closing rank is 6308. So, it may be a bit difficult for getting admission, if you do not belong to home state, but do not loose hope, if your luck favors, you can definitely get admission in NITR. Ragging- Ragging is not at all an issue. The management is strict and the seniors are friendly. Under no circumstances can a Senior assault someone physically, at most a fresher would be asked to introduce himself(which I believe is a good platform to build up connections with the alumni) .
Quality of education- The problem is not manpower but the lack of good teachers. There are quite a few qualified teachers but some subjects needs some serious thoughts. Unfortunately there are teachers who are without any doubts willing to impart knowledge but lacking the knowhow. There's a saying, Not all scholars are good teachers.HIT seems to be suffering from this disease.

Aeronautical engineering involves the study, design and research of the machines or airplanes which moves in the space and air sphere of the earth. There are three types of courses in India of aeronautical engineering. Polytechnic Diploma course with the duration of 3 years after 10 or 10+2 examination. UG degree courses leading to the BE/B.Tech with the duration of 4 years after 10+2 examination. PG degree courses leading to the ME/M.Tech with the duration of 2 years after the completion of UG degree in engineering.
