When you go for csab counselling then your AIR is considered for counselling and category rank for allotment of seat. The kind of institutes that you can get in counselling have been specified by Aneeket above. I will add a little more to it that you will be offered particular branches in all the above institutions not all of them.
In case you wish to get a branch of your choice you should opt for some good private university without csab counselling. In some of these private universities like Chitkara, Lovely, Manipal etc you can also get scholarship based on your AIR.
