Yes, some colleges accept transfer students from other universities, but the process and requirements vary by school: 

Planning

Consider why you want to transfer, meet with your advisor, and research schools. 

Application

Submit a transfer application to the desired university. 

Documents

Gather the following documents: 

Official transcripts from all previous institutions 

Letters of recommendation from professors who know you well 

A personal statement explaining your reasons for transferring 

Proof of English proficiency, if applicable 

Additional materials, such as supplemental essays, portfolios, or interviews 

Deadlines

Transfer deadlines vary by school, but you'll probably need to apply by March or April to transfer in the fall. 

Academic requirements

Colleges typically expect transfer students to have acquired a minimum number of credits. They may also require you to maintain a certain grade point average at your current university. 

Financial aid does not transfer when you change schools.
